"Our qualified staff are carefully selected for their ability to provide warm and consistent child care, and for their understanding of the developing physical, emotional, and intellectual needs of the children. We think they're pretty great! "
Rhiannon Wirth and Claire Brant jointly run Crondall preschool with a team of 4 other members of staff. They have an unrivalled passion in Early Years and have been working in Childcare since 2005.
Both have completed their Foundation Degrees in Early Years Management and Leadership and are the Designated Safeguarding Officers in the setting.
Having been at the setting for several years they have seen and implemented many changes growing it to a 36 place pre-school.
They say “We couldn’t be without our staff that all bring something individual and unique to the setting. It is a pleasure coming to Crondall Preschool each day and working with a great team of colleagues, children, and parents. It is a truly magical place to be!”
Michelle is our Senior Practitioner, she is a SENco trained key worker.
Sam is our Special Needs Co-ordinator (SENco) Lead, key worker.
Jenny is a SENco trained keyworker.
Between them our keyworkers have a wealth of experience of working with children. Their main focus is to help develop the children’s creativity, gross motor skills, and understanding of the world and they make sure every one of the children feels secure, happy, and confident whilst developing new skills to ensure all of our children can flourish.
All our staff have a minimum of Level 3 in Childcare, are SENco trained and have a current 12-hour Paediatric First Aid certificate. As well as ongoing training in designated safeguarding, Fire Marshall training, and a valid Enhanced DBS certificate.
We run some extra-curricular sessions which are available, they include Gymnastics with Megan, Sports with Zac and Tennis with Sam (summer term). We also have regular sessions with Showshack.
Rhiannon and Claire are in charge of the curriculum and oversea the settings ratio. For children aged 1-3 years a ratio of one member of staff to every four children and for children 3-5 years a ratio of one staff member to every eight children.
Every child is allocated a key worker who is responsible for setting your child’s target and reviewing their progress and liaising with parents to keep you informed.
Children’s progress files can be accessed by parents freely whenever you wish.
